Overview

Built for Buildings That
Can't Slow Down.

Glue-down installation is the right call when the product spec demands it, the subfloor is on-grade concrete, or the space sees the kind of traffic that floats a floor right off its click joints. ValorCraft installs full-spread glue-down flooring — LVP, sheet vinyl, engineered hardwood, and commercial-grade vinyl tile — with the correct adhesive trowel notch and open time for the product, proper moisture testing before the adhesive is opened, and a floor that stays locked to the substrate for years. We don't guess on trowel size or skip the moisture test because it's inconvenient.

  • Adhesive selected and applied per product spec — trowel notch, open time, and working time all matched
  • Moisture testing on slab substrates before any adhesive is opened
  • Full-spread coverage verified — no hollow spots under high-traffic areas
  • Seam placement planned before layout begins — not discovered mid-install

What's Included

Full Commercial Scope —
Demo To Punch List.

One contract, one crew. Substrate prep, install, transitions, and base — everything that touches the floor stays under our scope.

  • Glue-Down LVP & Luxury Vinyl Tile

Commercial-grade LVP and LVT installed with full-spread pressure-sensitive or hard-set adhesive — bonded to slab or plywood substrate per the manufacturer's adhesive specification.

  • Glue-Down Engineered Hardwood

Engineered plank adhered directly to concrete or plywood with trowelable urethane adhesive — bonded throughout the field so there's no hollow sound under the foot and no movement at board ends.

  • Sheet Vinyl — Full-Spread Adhesive

Sheet vinyl installed with full-spread adhesive in non-healthcare applications — seams planned before layout, flash-coving and cove base available for utility and laundry areas.

  • Moisture Testing & Mitigation

Calcium chloride or RH in-situ probe testing on slab before adhesive selection — moisture mitigation membrane or epoxy moisture barrier applied when readings exceed the product limit.

  • Subfloor Prep & Leveling

Concrete grinding, crack repair, and self-leveling underlayment to bring the slab to within the flatness tolerance the adhesive and product require before installation begins.

  • Transitions & Trim

Metal reducers, Schluter strips, rubber cove base, and vinyl cove base installed at perimeter and transitions — glued and set as part of the installation scope.

  • Demo & Adhesive Removal

Existing flooring and mastic removal — including old cutback adhesive scraping, grinding, or skim coating to prepare a clean bonding surface for the new adhesive system.

Why ValorCraft

The Commercial Standard
PMs Keep Calling Back.

Veteran-owned discipline applied to commercial flooring — clean schedules, accurate scopes, and crews that close out the punch list the first time.

  • No Movement, No Hollow Spots

A properly glued floor doesn't flex, click, or telegraph voids underfoot. Full-spread coverage means the whole field is bonded — not just the edges and a few spots in the middle.

  • Right Adhesive for the Substrate

Pressure-sensitive, hard-set, urethane, and epoxy adhesives all have different applications. We read the product spec and the substrate conditions — not just whatever's cheapest on the shelf.

  • Moisture Never Skipped

Adhesive failures on slab are almost always moisture problems that weren't tested for. We test before we open any adhesive and mitigate when readings are out of range.

  • In-House Crews

No subcontractors. The same team that scoped the job installs it — with the same standards and the same accountability from slab prep through trim.

  • Veteran-Owned Reliability

Punctual, clean, and direct. We tell you what the floor needs before we start — not after we've already spread adhesive and found a problem.

  • Commercial & Residential

Glue-down scope covers everything from a single residential bedroom on slab to a multi-room commercial install — same process, same standards, scaled to the job.

Our Process

Five Steps. No Surprises.
Schedules That Hold.

The same process whether it's one suite or one hundred — clear scope, clean prep, phased installs, and a closed punch list.

  1. 01

    Site Assessment

We inspect the substrate type, flatness, existing flooring condition, and moisture risk — and confirm the product adhesive requirements before pricing the job.

  2. 02

    Estimate

Line-item quote with prep, moisture testing, adhesive, installation, transitions, and cove base broken out separately so you see exactly what you're paying for.

  3. 03

    Demo & Substrate Prep

Existing flooring removed, old adhesive addressed, slab ground flat and leveled where needed — prep completed and substrate tested before adhesive is opened.

  4. 04

    Layout & Adhesive Application

Layout planned for seam placement and visual balance, adhesive spread in workable sections with the correct trowel notch, and floor installed within the open time window.

  5. 05

    Transitions, Trim & Final Walk

Reducers, cove base, and transitions set; floor inspected for any unbonded sections; final walkthrough with you before the site is released.

Common Questions

Answers
Before You Ask.

What's the difference between pressure-sensitive and hard-set adhesive?

Pressure-sensitive adhesive remains tacky after it dries and allows the floor to be repositioned — used for most floating-to-glue-down LVP and LVT. Hard-set adhesive cures rigid and is used when the spec requires a fully bonded, non-repositionable install. The product data sheet tells us which one the manufacturer requires.

Do I need moisture testing before glue-down on concrete?

Yes — always. Adhesive failures on slab are almost always caused by moisture vapor emissions that weren't measured. We run calcium chloride or in-situ RH probe testing per the manufacturer's spec and select the adhesive or mitigation system accordingly.

Can glue-down flooring be removed later?

Yes, but it's more work than removing a floating floor. Hard-set adhesive installs typically require scraping or grinding to remove, and the substrate needs to be re-prepped afterward. We discuss long-term plans during the scope so you're choosing the right system for your situation.

Can you glue down over existing flooring?

Sometimes — over firmly bonded existing vinyl or tile that is flat and clean. Old cutback adhesive (black mastic) typically needs to be encapsulated or removed rather than covered. We assess the existing surface and tell you whether a direct overlay or demo is the right call.

How soon can we walk on a glue-down floor?

Light foot traffic is usually safe after 24 hours. Full cure — furniture and heavy rolling loads — typically takes 48 to 72 hours depending on the adhesive system, temperature, and humidity. We specify the cure timeline in writing before we start.

Do you install glue-down over radiant heat?

Yes, when the product is rated for it. Radiant heat installations require the heating system to be off during install and for a specified warm-up period afterward. Adhesive selection also changes — we confirm the adhesive and product are both rated for radiant before the job begins.
