Luxury Vinyl Plank Installation
Premium LVP installation with professional subfloor preparation, precision cutting, and clean finish work for residential and commercial spaces.
- Veteran-Owned & Operated
- Licensed & Insured
- In-House Crews — No Subcontractors
Built for Buildings That
Can't Slow Down.
Luxury vinyl plank has earned its place as the go-to floor for homes and businesses that need real-world durability without sacrificing the look of wood or stone. ValorCraft installs LVP the way it was engineered to be installed — flat substrate first, expansion gaps respected, transitions fitted clean, and every plank locked tight before we call it done. We run in-house crews across the Piedmont Triad and we don't rush the prep to hit a square-footage count. If the floor underneath isn't flat, we fix it before the first plank goes down.
- Floating and glue-down installs — method selected for the product spec and the substrate
- Subfloor flatness verified to 3/16" over 10 ft before installation starts
- Staggered joints, proper expansion gaps, and direction laid out before the first plank is cut
- Stair nosings, transitions, and reducers fitted as part of the install — not an afterthought
Full Commercial Scope —
Demo To Punch List.
One contract, one crew. Substrate prep, install, transitions, and base — everything that touches the floor stays under our scope.
Floating LVP Installation
Click-lock floating installs with the correct underlayment for the product — foam, cork, or pre-attached — and expansion gaps maintained at every wall, column, and fixed obstruction.
Glue-Down LVP
Full-spread adhesive installs for commercial-grade product, on-grade slabs, and any spec that calls for a fixed system — trowel notch and open time matched to the manufacturer's adhesive requirement.
Subfloor Leveling & Prep
Grinding high spots, filling low areas with floor patch or self-leveler, and pulling fasteners that would telegraph through the wear layer — all completed before the first plank is placed.
Transitions, Reducers & T-Molding
Threshold plates, T-moldings, reducers to tile or carpet, and end caps at doorways and slider tracks — sourced in a finish that coordinates with the floor.
Stair Nosings
Matching or complementary stair nosing profiles installed at every step where LVP meets a stair tread — glued and fastened per the nosing manufacturer's spec.
Quarter Round & Base Shoe
Paint-grade or stain-grade quarter round and shoe molding installed to hide the expansion gap at baseboards — coped at inside corners, mitered at outside corners.
Demo of Existing Flooring
Carpet, vinyl, and laminate removal included on request — debris hauled off site, tack strip pulled, and subfloor assessed for any repairs before the new floor package begins.
The Commercial Standard
PMs Keep Calling Back.
Veteran-owned discipline applied to commercial flooring — clean schedules, accurate scopes, and crews that close out the punch list the first time.
Flat Floors, Locked Planks
We flatten before we install. High spots ground, low spots filled, fasteners pulled — so the click joints stay engaged and the floor doesn't flex or pop underfoot.
Product-Matched Install Method
Not every LVP floats. We read the spec sheet, check the substrate conditions, and install the way the manufacturer requires — so the warranty holds and the floor performs.
In-House Crews, No Subs
Same team that measures comes back to install. No handoffs, no miscommunication, no subcontractor who never saw your quote showing up to do the job.
Veteran-Owned Reliability
Show-up time, honest scopes, and jobsites left clean every day. If something unexpected comes up mid-install, we tell you before we decide for you.
Transitions Done Right
We finish the floor all the way to the wall — transitions, reducers, stair nosings, and quarter round included in scope, not sold separately at the end.
Piedmont Triad Coverage
Serving homeowners, builders, and property managers across Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and surrounding communities — willing to discuss regional travel for larger projects.
Five Steps. No Surprises.
Schedules That Hold.
The same process whether it's one suite or one hundred — clear scope, clean prep, phased installs, and a closed punch list.
- 01
Measure & Scope
We walk the space, measure square footage, identify subfloor conditions, confirm the product, and document doorways, transitions, and any obstacles before we price the job.
- 02
Product Selection & Estimate
Line-item estimate with material, prep, installation, transitions, and haul-off listed separately — plus product samples or cut sheets if you haven't chosen your LVP yet.
- 03
Subfloor Prep
Existing flooring removed if in scope; substrate ground flat and patched to spec; moisture checked where the product calls for it before adhesive or underlayment goes down.
- 04
Installation
Layout direction established, expansion gaps set, planks staggered and locked tight — including cuts around door casings, hearths, cabinetry, and any fixed obstacle in the room.
- 05
Transitions & Trim
Reducers, T-moldings, and stair nosings set; quarter round or shoe installed at baseboards; jobsite swept and final walk with you to confirm everything is right before we leave.
Answers
Before You Ask.
What's the difference between floating and glue-down LVP?
Floating LVP clicks together and rests on the subfloor without adhesive — it expands and contracts as a unit and is faster to install and replace. Glue-down uses full-spread adhesive for a fixed, rigid install that handles heavy rolling loads and doesn't telegraph hollow spots. The right method depends on your product spec, subfloor type, and how the space will be used.
Does LVP work over radiant heat?
Most commercial-grade LVP is rated for radiant heat up to a surface temperature the manufacturer specifies — typically around 85°F. We confirm your product's rating before install and follow the acclimation and temperature ramp-up requirements in the spec. Not every LVP is suitable for radiant, so product selection matters.
How flat does the subfloor need to be?
Most LVP manufacturers require no more than 3/16" variation over 10 feet. We check flatness during the scope walk and price subfloor leveling as a line item so you know what prep work is needed before we start.
Can LVP be installed over existing tile or hardwood?
Sometimes. Over tile, we grout-fill and grind high edges so the surface is flat enough. Over hardwood, we check for flex and height at doorways. The deciding factors are substrate flatness, height transition to adjacent rooms, and whether the product spec allows an overlay install — we'll tell you straight if demo is the better call.
How long does installation take?
A single-room install is typically one day. Whole-home projects run two to four days depending on square footage, the amount of subfloor prep, and trim scope. Your estimate includes a realistic timeline based on your specific job.
Do you haul away the old flooring?
Yes. Demo and disposal can be included as a line item in your quote — carpet, vinyl, laminate, and the tack strip or staples underneath. We leave the substrate clean and assessed before the new material goes down.
