New Residential Flooring
Full-house flooring installation for new builds and major renovations — coordinated with builders, GCs, and homeowners.
- Veteran-Owned & Operated
- Licensed & Insured
- In-House Crews — No Subcontractors
Built for Buildings That
Can't Slow Down.
New construction flooring is a coordination problem as much as an installation problem. ValorCraft works directly with builders, general contractors, and homeowners to schedule flooring as part of a broader construction timeline — after HVAC is running and the house is at temperature, before base trim painters, and around cabinet and appliance installs that can't move. We install LVP, hardwood, laminate, tile, and carpet on new builds throughout the Piedmont Triad, and we scope our part of the job to make the trades around us run cleaner, not slower.
- Coordinates with builders and GCs — we know where flooring fits in the punch list sequence
- HVAC required to be running at living conditions before install begins — we enforce it
- All rooms and product transitions scoped upfront so there are no mid-project change orders on product
- Builder-grade and custom allowances both handled — we work within your spec or help you build one
Industries Built On
Floors That Hold Up.
From storefronts to surgical suites, we install commercial floors for the spaces your customers, tenants, and patients walk every day.
- 01
Custom & Semi-Custom Home Builders
Single-home and small-volume builders who need a flooring sub that shows up on schedule, works cleanly around cabinets and millwork, and doesn't require hand-holding on sequencing.
- 02
General Contractors
GC-managed builds where flooring is one trade among many — we coordinate directly with your super, attend pre-start meetings, and submit product cuts for owner approval before material is ordered.
- 03
Homeowners — Owner-Builder
Homeowners managing their own new construction or major gut renovation who need a flooring contractor that can scope the whole house and sequence the work without constant oversight.
- 04
Spec Homes & Investment Properties
Builders putting up spec or investment homes who need consistent, repeatable flooring installs at a price that works with a resale allowance — priced by the square foot with standard install and trim.
- 05
Additions & Major Renovations
Room additions and whole-floor renovations where new flooring needs to blend with existing floors — species matching, transition planning, and finish coordination to minimize the visual break.
Full Commercial Scope —
Demo To Punch List.
One contract, one crew. Substrate prep, install, transitions, and base — everything that touches the floor stays under our scope.
Luxury Vinyl Plank — New Construction
Full-house LVP installs over subfloor — layout planned for visual balance across open floor plans, transitions at every room change, and stair nosings where LVP meets a stair.
Hardwood — New Construction
Solid or engineered hardwood acclimated on site at living conditions, installed after HVAC is running, and finished with the stain and sheen the homeowner or designer has approved.
Laminate — New Construction
Floating laminate with correct underlayment over subfloor — installed after rough-in mechanicals are complete and the house is climate-controlled.
Tile — New Construction
Porcelain and ceramic tile in bathrooms, laundry rooms, and kitchens — set over Schluter or uncoupling membrane, grouted and sealed before cabinet and fixture install.
Whole-House Transitions & Trim
T-moldings, reducers, thresholds, and stair nosings planned and installed as part of the whole-house scope — not discovered room by room as the install proceeds.
Quarter Round & Base Shoe
Paint-grade quarter round or shoe molding installed throughout the home after the floor is complete — coped, mitered, and nailed clean so the painter can run straight to coat.
Custom Stair Packages
Solid hardwood stair treads, risers, returns, and skirt boards installed as part of the new construction scope — sequenced with the flooring package and ready for railings and stain.
The Commercial Standard
PMs Keep Calling Back.
Veteran-owned discipline applied to commercial flooring — clean schedules, accurate scopes, and crews that close out the punch list the first time.
Construction-Sequence Awareness
We know where flooring fits: after HVAC is running, after drywall is finished and mud is dry, before base shoe painters and millwork installers. We sequence to the build, not to our convenience.
Whole-House Scope, One Estimate
Full-house flooring scoped by room with material, install, transitions, and trim — one quote, one crew, one point of contact for the builder or GC to coordinate with.
HVAC Enforcement
We won't install hardwood or laminate in a house that isn't at living temperature and humidity. It protects the floor and it protects our install from warranty issues the builder ends up answering for.
In-House Crews
Same team from measure through final walk. No subcontractors, no handoffs, no one showing up who's never seen the house plan or the product spec.
Veteran-Owned Reliability
We show up when scheduled, work cleanly around other trades, and communicate directly with the super or GC. One daily update, no phone tag, no surprises at punch list.
Piedmont Triad Coverage
Serving new construction across Greensboro, High Point, Winston-Salem, and surrounding communities — willing to discuss travel for multi-home builder relationships.
Five Steps. No Surprises.
Schedules That Hold.
The same process whether it's one suite or one hundred — clear scope, clean prep, phased installs, and a closed punch list.
- 01
Pre-Start Meeting & Plan Review
We review the floor plan, walk the house or site, confirm the product spec for each room, identify transitions, and agree on the sequence that works with your construction schedule.
- 02
Material Order & Submittals
Full-house material ordered with proper overage — product cuts or samples submitted to the GC or owner for approval before anything ships.
- 03
Acclimation & Pre-Install Check
Material delivered and acclimated at the house with HVAC running. Subfloor flatness and moisture confirmed before installation starts.
- 04
Installation by Trade Sequence
Tile first (bathrooms, kitchen), then hardwood or LVP through the living spaces, then stair package, then transitions and trim — sequenced so downstream trades aren't waiting or working over wet material.
- 05
Final Punch & Builder Walkthrough
Room-by-room punch list with the builder, super, or owner — transitions confirmed, trim complete, and any items addressed before certificate of completion and material warranty are issued.
Answers
Before You Ask.
When in the construction schedule should flooring be installed?
Flooring goes in after drywall, paint first coats, and HVAC is running at living conditions — typically before base molding, appliances, and final cabinet trim. For tile, we go in before fixture and vanity set. We work with your super to confirm the right sequence for your specific build.
Do you work from builder-provided specs or can you help select product?
Both. We install from your flooring schedule or allowance spec, and we can also bring samples and help you build a product spec if you're working directly with a homeowner who hasn't selected material yet.
Can you handle the full house — multiple product types across rooms?
Yes. A typical new build scope covers LVP or hardwood through the main living areas, tile in bathrooms and laundry, and a hardwood stair package — all scoped together, installed on one schedule.
What subfloor do you work over in new construction?
Most new construction uses 3/4" plywood or OSB subfloor. We check flatness at pre-start and flag any areas that need patching before the flooring timeline begins — subfloor leveling is quoted as a line item so it's not a surprise.
Do you work with production builders?
Yes. We price production installs by the square foot on a repeating template and can run multiple lots simultaneously when the build schedule requires it. Talk to us about establishing a standing pricing agreement if you're building volume.
Are you able to provide a COI for the GC or property developer?
Yes. ValorCraft carries General Liability and Workers' Comp coverage and will issue a Certificate of Insurance naming your GC, developer, or property management company before mobilization.
